General James M. Gavin Power Plant is a 2,600-megawatt supercritical coal-fired power station in the village of Cheshire, Ohio, United States. It is owned by Lightstone Generation LLC, a 50–50 joint venture of The Blackstone Group L.P. and ArcLight Capital Partners.
The Accounting Associate will perform accounting and administrative duties. Primary responsibilities will be processing accounts payable and other accounting transactions in a fast-paced environment. This is a permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices and daily transactions and expenses.
- Receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
- Comparing system reports to balances and verifying entries.
- Charging expenses to accounts and cost centers.
- Verifying vendor accounts, paying vendors, and resolving purchase orders, invoices, or payment discrepancies.
- Perform administrative support functions.
- Perform day-to-day accounting duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years’ experience working in bookkeeping, accounting, or related field. Significant experience in Accounts Payable preferred.
- AA, AS, BS or BA in a related field preferred.
- Strong competency in accounting and business management software.
- Great time management and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly detail oriented.
