Reds Truck Center is a family owned and operated truck repair and parts facility in Bidwell, Ohio. Reds has been in business since 1976 and currently boast 32 employees. We are looking for hard working quality people to add to our team to service our growth.

Job Summary

HEAVY DUTY TRUCK PARTS OUTSIDE SALES PERSON

Reds Truck Center has immediate openings for Outside Parts Sales Persons. Must have either 3 years Heavy Duty Parts Experience or 3 plus years of Auto Parts Sales Experience or 3 plus years of Heavy Duty Diesel Technician experience. If you have no parts or technician experience please do not apply.

SUMMARY: The Outside Parts Sales Persons position assists customers in-person and on the phone with their purchasing of truck parts and components. This is done by researching the customer needs, communicating pricing and availability, making recommendations for alternative products, creating invoices and retrieving/sourcing products to fill the customer’s order.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

· Ability to provide our external and internal customers with excellent customer service, strong communication skills, and to work as part of our one TEAM environment.

· Friendly, professional when working with customers or other team members.

· Follow up on customer orders, and inquires promptly

· Demonstrate the ability to problem solve.

· Ability to follow set department and dealership procedures.

· Assists in keeping department clean and orderly.

· Use computer or other company resources to research part details and prices

· Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.

· Documents inventory discrepancies.

· Fill orders from stock as well as procure parts necessary to fill customer needs.

· Be able to place orders to suppliers to fill customer’s needs.

· Accurately process invoices

· Assist in keeping Parts area clean, orderly and stocked

· Supply service technicians with parts using proper procedures

· Use telephone to assist customers placing phone-in orders

· Ability to multi task

· Attendance to work each day and compliance with Company handbook and policies.

· Self-motivated

· Ability to work in a warehouse environment that requires long periods of standing, walking, lifting up to 50 LBS going up and down on stairs, use of warehouse ladders, forklift, etc.

· Pull and fill orders from stock warehouses

· Assist in putting away daily stock orders

Qualifications:

· Parts Experience in either auto or heavy duty diesel truck with the ability to demonstrate knowledge of various components of a vehicle. If you have heavy duty truck experience as a technician and want to change careers to parts we will talk to you. No experience please do not apply.

· Ability to read and interpret parts manuals and drawings

· Competent in use of basic computer functions.

· Positive attitude and a strong work ethic

· ADP/CDK experience is a plus, but not required.
